Alia is the Kobayashi Group’s newest luxury project located at 888 Ala Moana Blvd. Alia will have 411 units in the tower and 40 reserved housing units on the podium underneath the amenity deck. The building will have 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units ranging from $880,000 going up to $6,000,000. The units will have luxury Gaggenau appliances, European white oak wide-plank flooring, quartz countertops, 9 ft ceilings up to the 20th floor, and 9.5 ft ceilings from the 21st floor to the 39th floor. The floor plans of the Alia units are also thoughtfully designed to be wide and functional. This is very appealing as most Ward Village floor plans are long and narrow.
The typical floor plate will have 13 units per floor. There will also be options for buyers to combine certain units to make extra-large 3-bedroom units. Alia will be built on a 3.2-acre lot. Due to the large land size, the developer was able to slant the building so that 8 of the 13 units will have ocean views. There will also be lanais for most of the units which is rare to see for new projects along Ala Moana. The last front-row project to have lanais was Waiea which was completed in 2016.
What makes Alia stand out from other developers is that The Kobayashi Group is owned and operated by a local family. The family has also personally owned and lived in all their previous projects – Hokua, One Ala Moana, and Park Lane. They incorporate aspects of what works with their previous projects and find flaws with their projects and improve upon them. The Kobayashi Group has also decided to incorporate EV car charging stations, Photovoltaics, and a greywater treatment system to keep the building energy efficient.
Alia will start construction later this year and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
